Oh No Way! Gordon Gets Lost Gets a Facelift!
If you have been following the Gordon Gets Lost saga the last couple of years, you'll know that we've had some incredible ups and downs. Band members have come and gone, songs have been written, forgotten and then rehashed and forgotten again. But it's a new year and we have some incredible news to share.
First off, we have a brand new bass player and couldn't be happier about the boost of positive energy and musical brotherhood that has already developed between the four of us. Mike Glaze has stepped up to fill in some very funky shoes, not only a great bass player, Mikey has rekindled the true reason why we play music, the FUN!!! We can't wait for all of you to get Glazed!
We've been working on some old favourites from the Gordon Gets Lost catalogue as well as lots of new songs that have been sitting on the back burner for a while now just waiting to be given the time and attention they deserve. We'll be keeping with “the more asses shaking on the dance floor, the better” mentality, stretching out our jamming legs to push us further and further into unknown realms of creativity.
As well as a new bass player and we are happy to announce a name change for the new decade as well. We had a great run as Gordon Gets Lost, but feel that there may be some bad energies attached to the name. Too many memories of break ups, controversy and strife. The new name will allow us to start off with a clean slate, and for all of you that knew us as GGL to snub newcomers. (just kidding! Be nice.)
Oh No Way! Will be the name you'll be seeing on events, posters and groupies breasts from now on, and will likely be on the lips of every jam music lover in the maritimes. Something new and fresh, yet recognizable and comforting, like a fresh pair of sheets brought in off the clothes line.
We've got some exciting shows coming up and are looking forward to the summer festival season. Stay Tuned for updates, 2010 is going to be a roller coaster of a year.
