Good Morning!
Well wowy...if the show that Les Paiens put on last night at Plan B is any indication of what is to come over the next few days I am going to have to order some new parts to keep my body going! I think that a Gordon Gets Lost-Les Paiens mash-up would be the bees knees! Follyfest maybe? Hmmm my fingers are crossed for that one!
I also had the pleasure of meeting Bob Mersereau who writes a lovely blog for CBC New Brunswick! http://www.cbc.ca/nb/mt/eastcoastmusic/ It is my mission this weekend to convince that man to get to an outdoor music festival this summer!
Another great encounter was with Ben Caplan! Besides having one of the most magical looking beards I have ever seen he is also a Katimavik alumni. We shared our thoughts on the government's decision to cut our dear program and how to spread awareness about it (Ben is going to have petitions available at his shows for signing). If you feel so obliged you can download an advocacy kit here: http://www.katimavik.org/ and circulate your own petition!
I am plotting my plan of musical attack over some some wonderful coffee at my lovely friend Genvieve's house. First up a trip to the Delta to see Matt Anderson & Old Man Luedeke in the Roots Room. Then a jaunt to Plan B for Wet Grow Light who I have been hearing great things about. The Oxygen is hosting the Rock Stage tonight and it looks like that is where I am going to spend a good chunk of my time this evening the line-up is stupendous! Must sees for me are The Stanfields, Mercy the Sexton (a fav from back when I lived in Newfoundland), Ben Caplan, The Town Heroes (from my home town Inverness CB), Sherman Downey, Carmen Townsend, and Slowco! Geeze Louise!! I will be ducking out around midnight for Matthew Hornell and Mark Bragg back at the Delta. Also I will be popping into the Manhattan at around 1 am to check out Crowdis Bridge for some bluegrass business!

Tomorrow I will be joined by Jon Dennis, Paul McAllister and Matt Everett...together we will be sharing our adventures and shenanigans with you! Huzzah!

Comment by Marc Chops Arsenault on April 13, 2012 at 13:21 Also we'd love to play a show with GGL, if you could help us set it up in HAlifax that would be sweet! We'd totally pay back the favor in Moncton. We don't play Halifax enough!
