Feelsgood representing at Dawson City Music Festival
Good Day!
While a lot of the festival goers of the East Coast have already stormed the gates of Evolve and are setting up their temporary community just outside of Antigonish this weekend, I am doing something a little…

Countdown to Folly
You can put an Island girl in a lady suit and stuff her behind a desk, but you can’t take the fun out of a free spirit. To celebrate my fast approach to 30 years of ®age, I will be attending Folly Fest ‘2012 without apology.
The countdown is on. In four days from now, I’ll be tucked away in the picturesque village of Gagetown! In order to get Folly-ready, I’ve dusted off my tarot cards and have commenced massive sets of random ab crunches (for the…

Something in the Air
Something in the Air is a upsoming webseries that is all about this wonderful nation of ours called Canada! Myself and Josh Hunter traveled from Cost to Cost last summer, filming every step of the way. The result is a pure and honest look at what it means to be Canadian. We met with so many inspiring people and saw all the wonderous sights Canada has to offer. Since music is a love of Josh and mine it is a major theme underlining the series. Canada has an amazing music scene that I believe…

oh Sunday, Your nowhere near as spry as Friday
Its the final day of a great week/weekend of music, and to be honest, we're a little slow moving. Actually, all of Moncton seems to be in the same boat. 4 days of continuous music will do that to a town. However its nothing a few pints of Feels Good and the movie In like Flint wont fix.
Saturday wound up being a good ol fashioned bluegrass boogie down day. The Delta was buzzing with the best of the best. With bands like the Backyard Devils, Modern Grass, and Ben Capalan and the…

ol Monctons a hustlin and a bustlin
Ahh Moncton, I feel like we don't spend enough time together, every time I visit you we have the best of times.. To be honest for someone who lives less then 2 hours away its a crime how little time I spent in this fair city. I mean I can count the amount of nights I've spent here on 1 hand, using only 2 fingers. (for those of you not paying attention, thats 2 nights)
The ECMA's really are a blast. Albeit slightly disorganized, but what can one expect when trying to feature…

The Bread? Les Paiens? The Pagans?!
Good Morning!
Well wowy...if the show that Les Paiens put on last night at Plan B is any indication of what is to come over the next few days I am going to have to order some new parts to keep my body going! I think that a Gordon Gets Lost-Les Paiens mash-up would be the bees knees! Follyfest maybe? Hmmm my fingers are crossed for that one! …

Crank ça!
Oh hello there! This week Feelsgood.ca will be blogging from the East Coast Music Awards in Moncton! Paul, Jon and myself will be venue hopping and tilting our elbows all over town to bring you lots of entertaining tales. I just spent some time with my trusty green highlighter and the schedule trying to put together a preliminary plan of action for the week. I am in Halifax sipping on my coffee and sharing a bit QT with…

Well the snow is gone; bring on new music, festivals and friends. Paddlefest, ECMA, Tim Chaisson, Andy Brown and Cavendish Beach.
This spring seems extra busy compared to past years. We have exciting festivals, rumors of “The Boss” coming to the maritimes and many friends recording new albums due out this year.

Weak Size Fish "Shakedown" Everett Album Reviews
Shakedown
Finally after 3 long years Weak Size Fish are releasing their new album “Shakedown.” From the first listen of the album I can tell that they have not just been sitting on the coach. Weak Size Fish seemed to burst on the East Coast music scene in 2008-2009 and have continued to play amazing shows all over the country. They had ECMA showcase shows and spots on every Atlantic music festival stage. With that being said a lot of the new tracks on…

The sun! The Sun! Festivals are on the way!
Itching for the summer, live music and good people!
An amazing thing happened last night, as I left work at 6pm the sun was still up, yes the sun; what does that mean you ask? Live -outdoor music is on its way, it is within reach. Well as I patiently wait for a Dave Matthews Band tour announcement I am flooded with memories of past shows. Every year about this time I have the same debate with the same people who do not get the live experience. I go to as many live shows as I…

Honduras - Museum Pieces
I had not so great of a sleep in my own comfortable bed last night because it felt strange to me. I guess it wasn’t a close enough sensation to sleeping on the ground – which I had been doing for the previous four nights…
Bright and early Wednesday morning I packed a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, grapefruits and pears, clothes and other necessary amenities into my giant bag and headed off to the…

They must be doing it for the money... Everett Reviews.
Why is it Cool to Hate Nickelback; or is it McNickelback.
The corporate rock machine that is Nickelback confuses me on multiple levels. I have spent the last few days going over information on the world’s most hated band and I found myself wondering why it is cool to hate Nickelback. Really the band has humble beginnings small town guys from Hanna Alberta who started a rock band after being in a cover band. They played countless bars, struggled to get found, released an Indie album…

Preface to the new Everett’s Music; Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow: Reviews and personal insight of music series
In this new series I will review and discuss albums, the state of music, the business of music and my general analysis of the industry. Today’s popular music industry puts so much energy into the single and with the invention of Napster and the explosion of I tunes I fear the album is dying. I fear that songwriters and putting so much energy into making a “hit” the creation of a solid album is falling by the wayside. Sure some of the most classic albums of all time do not…

Hondy - Day 1
So this is gonna be quick because I'm quite sleepy, quite sweaty, and quite stoked on waking up early for the adventures that day 2 will bring...
After a 3 hour flight from Toronto to Miami, whereupon I passed out before take off and woke up as the flight attendant told me to put my seat up (thank you earplugs!) my companeros Emily and Rad ventured into the depths of the Floridan mecca we'd heard so much about from Will Smith and CSI. Much to our surprise the Miami folk were quite…
