A little bit about Penny Blacks:
Penny Blacks is Jason Ogden. Penny Blacks is also a band that sometimes numbers up to 8 individuals, including Clinton Charlton (Drums), Chuck Teed(Bass / Accordion), Erin Sharpe (Cello, Glockenspiel), Dan Chamberlain (Keys, Accordion), Chris Braydon (Guitar, Lap Steel), Chris Fudge (Guitar), Jason Vautour (Guitar), and Ali Leonard (Violin). Penny Blacks is songs that were born in the bedroom, but blossomed on stages across atlantic Canada. Penny Blacks has shared the stage with the likes of Julie Doiron, The Most Serene Republic, Shotgun & Jaybird, The Tom Fun Orchestra, Elliot Brood, & Share.
Penny Blacks "fall somewhere between The Dears and The Decemberists". Penny Blacks "inhabit a huge musical landscape that is haunted by the ghosts of regret and longing". Penny Blacks Summer Update!
Hello Stamp Collectors, Bed Wetters and Bitter Bruisers!
