A free, all ages event!

Nothing warms the soul like soul music, and nothing warms the body like a gift of much needed warm winter clothing for those in need! Every night families and individuals brave the cold streets and rural lanes of Sonoma County, lacking warm clothing to comfortably brave the elements. With your donation of a coat of other warm winter gear, you can help the people most in need, while dancing the night away to a hearty mix of funk, soul and jazz grooves served up by this saucy group of all-star Sonoma county musicians.

Sunday Gravy is not only an event, a band, it’s an experience! Every show is different with a rotating crew of players, representing the very top players in Sonoma County jamming on funk, soul classics from the likes of The Meters, James Brown, Maceo Parker, P-Funk and jazzy improvised grooves, with frequent guest vocalists Kelly TheSinger, Radioactive and Katrina Blackstone.

The event is presented by a deep and diverse group of local arts activists, music promoters, small businesses, performers, artists and craftspeople that have come together to celebrate the season in grand funky fashion, while giving back to the community! ABOUT SUNDAY GRAVY BAND

Chunky beats, fat bass, smooth keys, spicy guitar licks and choice horn cuts make this hearty group of all-star Sonoma county musicians a four course meal of jazz, funk, soul, hip hop and break beat jams for the soul! Sunday Gravy is Gabriel "Big G" McDowell on drums (of the 808 band) Nate Prowse on keys, Josh Fossgreen on bass, Ian Scheer on guitar, Brendan Buss on alto saxophone, Nick Hasty on tenor saxophone. The band takes listeners on an instrumental journey through the depths of the funk with a solid break beat foundation, and takes them off the ground and into space with their far out jazz-based jams. The perfect recipe to satisfy anyone's craving for funky break beats, smooth jazz licks, raw funk jams and way out improvisation.
