Come celebrate the autumn season with friends and family at the Blissfield Wesleyan Church on October 15th for an event featuring studio portraits by professional photographers Michael Sturgeon of Just In Time Creatives.
Have a camera and want some studio shots for your portfolio? Bring it and get some shots of your own. Appetizers and refreshments will be available during this time but don't spoil your appetite for the potluck dinner.
Not a traditional turkey mashed potatoes dinner but with no less the spirit, we invite you bring anything you'd like to share so long as it's easy to feast upon.
By the time our dinners have settled it will be time to head to the field and prepare for the show in the sky. A heated, sheltered patio will be available for those who truly need it. The more fireworks that everyone brings the better the show will be. Don't forget to bring your tripods.
Once the last work has been fired, it's time to head into the woods. Reconnect with nature thru dozens of lit trails connected to open areas in the dense, mossy forest for an experience like none other. Glowing bracelets and glowsticks will be provided but bring your own or a flashlight or headlamp or burning torch to find prizes hidden about.
Admission is $5 per person, $10 per family. 25% of all proceeds will be donated to the Miramichi Chamber of Commerce's Scholarship Fund, a program that provides a scholarship to a selfless, dedicated high school student going on to post-secondary education that shows interest in the community and a business career.
The idea of this festival was to reunite the Gillespie family but has transformed into an event to bring as all together to share our dreams and hopes for the community and it's future. And since we quite literally all are family, the idea that brought this festival to life holds true.
