Gold, Gods & Glitter Masquerade

We are pleased to announce the return of our Hottest Event of the Year in the dead of winter: our 2nd annual Masquerade event!

A sold-out success last year, this year’s theme changes artists, drawing inspiration from J. M. W. Turner’s The Fountain of Indolence and framing it as Gold, Gods and Glitter. With the support of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, we’re hard at work developing a divine décor fit for gods and goddesses. We hope that you’ll use these words and images when imagining costumes fit for a divinely decadent celebration, too. This year’s Masquerade happens February 18th, only 3 days before Mardi Gras, a holiday rife with Bal Masqués, bacchanalian luxury, and social festivities.

The evening will feature:

• Music by DJ Mizz Maxine
• Gold and Glitter face painting with Rusianne
• Photobooth with Dragon-fly Photography
• In-house bar featuring Fredericton’s elixir of the Gods, Picaroons Beer!
• Free admission to Boom! afterparty with ticket stub on Masquerade night!

This is a 19+ event.

Tickets are $30.00 and are available now! Tickets can be purchased the Gallery front desk (506) 458-8545. All proceeds help support the Beaverbrook Art Gallery’s programming.

Nous sommes contents d’annoncer le retour de notre évènement chaudement anticipé dans le beau milieu du froid d’hiver : notre 2^e bal masqué annuel!

Un évènement complet l’année passée, on change d’artiste-thème pour 2012, prenant inspiration de « The Fountain of Indolence » par J. M. W. Turner, et l’encadrant comme Brillance et Indolence. Avec l’appui du New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, nous travaillons fort pour développer une scène céleste. Nous espérons que vous utiliserez ces mots, cette image, et cette symbolique quand vous vous imaginez un costume apte pour cette célébration divine, aussi. Le bal masqué aura lieu le 18 février, seulement trois jours avant Mardi Gras, une fête traditionnellement rempli de bal masqués, de luxe Bacchanale, et d’activité sociale!

La soirée mettra en vedette :

• Musique par DJ Mizz Maxine
• Maquillage de visage «Gold and Glitter» par Rusianne
• Studio photographiqe avec Dragon-fly Photography
• Bar-payant avec l’élixir divine dr Fredericton, la bière Picaroons!
• Entrée gratuite à Boom! avec talon de billet le soir du bal masqué!

Cette soirée est limitée à ceux de 19 ans ou plus.
